We utilize the Candela Exceed Microneedling system in our practice which is FDA approved for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars.
We also offer the option for RF Microneedling with the EndyMed Intensif system which is a powerful combination of radiofrequency energy for skin tightening delivered through gold-plated microneedles at customizable depths to treat patients suffering from acne scars, skin laxity and moderate-to-severe wrinkles.
Lastly, we offer HydraTox Gold Needling which combines the effects of microneedling noted above with infusion of hyaluronic acid and neuromodulators, such as Botox/Dysport, directly into the dermis via the gold-needle microchannels to significantly reduce pore size, oil production, and redness in the skin. Treatment results last 3-4 months in duration.
For an extra boost, we can add your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). We draw a small amount of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge, and apply the concentrated platelets to your skin right after microneedling. Dr. Weiss calls PRP fertilizer for the skin because it is full of growth factors, and the tiny channels microneedling creates help those growth factors reach deeper to support collagen and healing.
Before treatment, we apply a numbing cream so the procedure is comfortable, and most appointments take about an hour. Afterward, your skin will usually look red and feel warm, like a mild sunburn, for one to three days. Avoid makeup for about 24 hours, and avoid sun exposure and active skincare such as retinoids for several days.
Most patients get the best results from a series of 3 to 4 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Skin often looks brighter within a week or two, and collagen keeps building for several months after your last session.

Most patients feel only mild pressure or a light scratching sensation. Numbing cream is applied first, and the medical-grade devices we use mean less bleeding and discomfort than microneedling at many day spas.
Most patients have redness and mild swelling for one to three days and return to normal activities within a day or two. RF microneedling may involve a little more downtime.
