CoolPeel vs. SmartXide CO₂: What to Expect
The difference between the 2 treatments is downtime (based on adjusted settings). The Smartxide CO2 requires approximately 5 to 7 days of downtime, whereas the Coolpeel is approximately 1 to 3 days of downtime, but requires multiple treatments to achieve the desired result.

Does fractional CO2 laser resurfacing hurt?
Most patients tolerate treatment well with appropriate numbing and physician guidance. During treatment, you may feel heat or a prickling sensation, and afterward the skin can feel similar to a sunburn for several days.
How many treatments will I need?
The right treatment plan depends on your skin concerns and the type of resurfacing you choose. Many patients see significant improvement after one stronger fractional CO2 treatment, while CoolPeel often works best as a series for more gradual results.
How soon will I see results from fractional CO2 or CoolPeel?
Some improvement may be visible once the initial redness and peeling resolve, but the skin continues to improve over time as new collagen develops. Results typically become more noticeable over the following weeks and continue to evolve for several months.

We serve the greater Phoenix area, and most often see guests that live nearby in Phoenix, Cave Creek, Anthem, Glendale, Peoria, Desert Ridge and North Scottsdale. We are just 15 minutes driving from Desert Ridge and 20 minutes driving from North Scottsdale.
